Welcome to Fairfield Community Primary School

We are proud to be an academy school working in partnership with Symphony Learning Trust. Fairfield has been part of the local community for over 50 years. We value strong partnerships with families, believing children thrive best when home and school work closely together. From sporting events and musical performances to residential trips and wider learning opportunities, we aim to give every child an education that sets them up for later life alongside experiences they will remember for years to come.

As Headteacher, I feel incredibly privileged to lead such a special school. We care deeply about the children, the staff, and the wider community we represent, and I am excited about the future we are building together.

Our Values

Through consultation with parents, carers, staff, and pupils, we have identified the values we most want to have nurtured in our pupils by the end of Year 6. These are:

  • Resilience – believing they can do hard things and keep going when times are tough.
  • Empathy – understanding and caring for others.
  • Respect– being positive members of our school and wider community.

Academic Aims

Alongside the personal development values described above, we also consulted parents, carers, staff, and pupils to identify the key academic aims we want to drive our school. These are for children to be:

  • Knowledgeable – being able to understand and connect with the world around them.
  • Articulate – confident to share their ideas, knowledge and feelings.
  • Fluent readers – accessing information and finding joy through the written word.

Mission Statement

Our mission statement brings these personal development values and our academic aims together.

“At Fairfield, we nurture confident, knowledgeable and articulate learners who are fluent readers, resilient in the face of challenges, and guided by empathy and respect in all they do.”

The Fairfield Way

Children come to Fairfield to learn, but their happiness and safety will always come first. When children feel happy and safe, they are free to thrive academically and personally. With this in mind, we believe that behaviour must be consistent and fair. Our approach — The Fairfield Way — sets out clear expectations, actively teaches positive behaviour, and celebrates success. At its heart are three simple golden rules:

  • We respect everyone’s right to learn.
  • We are respectful to all people, at all times.
  • We always use kind hands, kind feet, and kind words.
