It is the policy of Fairfield Community Primary School that all children wear school uniform. Our policy for school uniform is based on the principle that school uniform:
• Promotes a sense of pride in the school
• Develops a sense of community and belonging to the school
• Is practical and looks smart
• Makes children feel equal to others in terms of appearance
• Is regarded as suitable clothing for school
• Is considered by parents as good value for money
• Is designed with health and safety in mind
• Has a positive impact on behaviour and attitudes in school
The school will always act reasonably and sensibly in accommodating religious requirements, providing they do not pose a threat to security, safety and learning, or compromise the well-being of the school community. If parents require an exception to any rules for medical or religious reasons, then a letter from a doctor or religious leader to the governors is required.
